I'm pregnant - help!

How can Reiki & Essential Oils help you cope during pregnancy
Pregnancy can bring lots of physical aches and pains, as well as emotional upheaval. On one hand, you’re excited at your impending arrival, but on the other, this may be mixed with nerves, worries and fears.
At a time when you might need medication or alternative therapies to help you through the ups and downs of pregnancy, you may find, for safety reasons, that your options are limited. The good news is that one particular therapy, Reiki, is completely safe in pregnancy, and can even have positive and beneficial effects on both mum-to-be and her baby.
What is Reiki?
Reiki is an ancient healing method originating from the Far East. Although it is spiritual in nature, it does not have any religious context. Reiki is a non-invasive treatment where a healer’s hands are placed on or close to the recipient’s body, to channel energy, which promotes healing, a sense of calm, positivity and relaxation. Although Reiki can have a powerful effect on the mind and body, it is a gentle treatment that works on a holistic level.
How Reiki can help in pregnancy
With regular treatment during pregnancy, Reiki can help eliminate many of the aches and pains women experience at this time. The energy-boosting nature of this treatment can also help to alleviate tiredness, while the calming effect can reduce sleep problems. I have had great success with many women who suffer from morning sickness. They find that if Reiki is given during the early stages of pregnancy, it can help to reduce feelings of nausea.
Since Reiki works to harmonise the mind and body, this treatment may also reduce feelings of anxiety, stress or worry, particularly towards the end of the pregnancy. Some experts believe that having Reiki while pregnant may even bring a sense of calm to the unborn baby.
Crucially, at a time when many women may not feel in control of their bodies, having Reiki during pregnancy can help to regain a certain sense of control. It can help to create a balance and a grounding, so that you feel emotionally and physically prepared for the challenges that you face once the baby arrives.
